How long does self leveler take to dry?

The house isn’t exactly warm right now and I’m wondering if that means I need to wait much longer than what it says on the bag

"Some fast-set self-levellers can be ready to floor over in as little as 3–4 hours, while deeper pours may need longer.

👉 Always check the product datasheet before installing flooring to avoid issues later on."

"Hi Drying sufficient for installation of finishes (tiles, parquet, vinyl):
➜ 24–72 hours"

"You are correct to be concerned; temperature plays a vital role in the curing process. Here is what you should expect:
Extended Drying Time: Most manufacturers base their "24-hour" estimates on a standard temperature of around 21°C (70°F). Since your home is currently cool, the chemical reaction will slow down. You should realistically expect to wait 48 hours or more before the surface is ready for flooring installation.
Foot Traffic: While you can usually walk on it after 4–6 hours in normal conditions, in a cold environment, I recommend waiting at least 8–12 hours to avoid leaving indentations.
Pro-Tip: Do not rush the process. If you install flooring (especially wood or laminate) over a damp subfloor, it can trap moisture and cause warping or mold. If possible, try to maintain a consistent, moderate temperature in the room to help the moisture evaporate.
Summary: Yes, expect the wait time to be significantly longer than what is stated on the packaging. Always perform a "touch test" or use a moisture meter before proceeding."

"I’d leave it around 6 hours before walking on, and 24 hours before fitting on.
When the screed starts to turn a lighter colour it’s starting to dry"

"This is just for precaution, but please make sure to always follow the instructions from the installation guide."

"The best time is 8 to 10 hours and then you can walk and work on top of it"

"The right answer its between 8-12 hours as te room isn’t warm and it takes abits more time than a warm room"
