Is LVT cheaper than engineered wood flooring?

Question

Trying to choose between LVT and engineered wood for the whole downstairs. How do they compare on price once fitting's included. And we have a dog so which is better in that case?

So generally LVT is cheaper than engineered wood and for pet it's all down to preference, they're both pretty easy to maintain when you have pets

They both are very similar in price the good thing with engineered flooring it can be sanded down specially with pets it’s got more longevity

LVT just for the flooring material tend to start slightly higher than a laminate price per meter. LVT require more subfloor prep therefore fittings and material will reflect the price and tend to finish on a higher price. Laminate can be just as expensive for high quality laminate , depending on your sub floor may not require sub floor prep. LVT is fairly hard wearing and waterproof so if you do have pets this could be ideal for you and easy to clean than a laminate.

I wrote a blog about this, should have all the details you need b ut they are only estimates, if you buy LVT at 15 a metre and Engineered wood at 50 a metre then obvioulsy the prices will be very different. Hi there. 

It usually is cheaper. Depends on brand aswell. 
It's much more hard-wearing too. I would highly recommend it over engineered Wood.

Lvt would be cheaper than engineered wood and also a lot more hard wearing and better if you have pets in my opinion
