How long does render take to dry?

We've just had the front of the house rendered. The plasterer said to leave it a few weeks before painting. Is that right, or can we get the decorator in sooner?

"I believe it’s takes two or theee days depending on the temperature of the house. If the house is colder, it can take longer to dry"

"Ideally best to wait couple weeks but in warmer weather you can do sooner and you can literally see it dry. Hope that helps"
