How long does it take to fit a kitchen?

Can anyone tell me how long it normally takes to have a full kitchen fitted, including units and appliances?

"It depends on the size of kitchen more often than not about 3-5 days"

"Hi Lou, installing a new kitchen can generally take between a few days to 2 weeks depending on the size but there are a lot of other factors that come into the equation where required, such as removing the old one along with any old tiling and flooring plus any new prep work required for Electrical, Water Plumbing, Gas, Plastering and initial mist coat decorating. Most of our projects take around 4 weeks, but can take longer overall if you require something like quartz worktops, which can normally take a week or 2 to manufacture.

You can obviously have unknowns that crop up plus any extras that are required along the way which all adds time.

Overall, it really depends on the size of the project to be completed. I hope this helps a little."

"Hi Lou
It depends on a lot of factors such as number of units / how many cuts are required for worktop how many and type of appliances etc. Factor in extra time (10 days)if having quartz worktops for the manufacturing time. Also the number of people fitting it influences the amount of time your without your kitchen. To get a dry fit only installed it can be done in 3 to 4 days sometimes sooner. If im doing electrics plumbing and tiling etc that can be around 2 weeks."

"A standard kitchen installation for a medium-sized space usually takes 4–6 days with two workers. This includes removing the old kitchen, completing first-fix plumbing and electrics, repairing or levelling walls and floors, installing base and wall units, fitting laminate worktops, connecting appliances, and finishing with trims and silicone. If the kitchen requires extra work—such as heavy plastering, significant plumbing or electrical changes, floor levelling, or quartz/granite worktops that need templating—the full process can extend to 7–10 days."

"This will depend on many things including things such as the overall size of the kitchen, If you need to remove old tiling, units and electronics and change the overall layout of where each appliances or unit is going. It can also change depending on the type of new splash back fitted , tiles if new ones are being used, electronics and appliances being fitted, and other things you plan to add in to your kitchen. So overall it can vary to a huge extent, but if i had to give a rough estimate from 4-6 days for a medium kitchen."

"There are indeed many factors that influence the time scales for fitting a kitchen. The size of the kitchen is certainly a significant consideration in this regard. Larger spaces naturally require more time for installation and finishing. Furthermore, the complexity of the design and the number of custom elements can also affect the overall duration. The availability of materials and the schedule of skilled tradespeople are additional aspects that contribute to project timelines. Ultimately, a thorough assessment of these variables is crucial for establishing realistic expectations."
