"You can buy at garden centres a copper strip which you put around your pot and stops slugs getting into pot. If plants are in the garden you can buy a slug trap which you fill with beer and this attracts slug inside trap."

"Better to remove their place. If they are already in the pot, then change the pot and soil as well"

"Crushed eggshells/gravel/woodchip or mulch Molluscs don't like travelling over rough ground, so if they sense sharp edges, you can use this texture to deter them. Coffee grounds. Slugs don't like the bitter taste of coffee grounds. Sprinkle coffee grounds on the soil around your plants to deter them."

"A good idea would be to move the plants and probably have the plants in a pot surrounded by gravel. Slugs struggle to move on or around gravel; especially gravel or stones with sharp edges."

"There is a few methods to try without killing them.
Sacrificial plants to let them get a feed or there are plants which repel as well.l An easy Google for options. coffee grounds works and so can copper tape around the top rim of pots. It can also help give things a good clear around where the bide. Don't make it easy for them to move in!"
