Hot water pressure

I have very poor hot water pressure- its an older gas boiler/immersion tank- would a new immersion tank/element coupled with an electric shower solve the problem?

"An electric shower will solve pressure problems for a shower but you may be better off looking into an unvented hot water cylinder as this will provide you with a high pressure balanced hot and cold supply. Most come with a twenty five year warranty if installed by a competent professional"

"Hi my name is Joel I've been a heating engineer for some 7 years now, and the simply answer to your question is no.

There maybe other reasons why you have low pressure for example a blockage in old pipe work,

Yes it would definitely benefit you to change the immersion and boiler but a straight swap may not solve the issue of low pressure in 1st instance and further investigation work may need to be done."

"Hi thanks for the question I wouldn't say you need a new immersion heater you possibly would need a new shower pump fitted if you don't have one already and it sounds like you don't have a pump this resolve your problem to the pressure on your shower do let me know if you need any help with this"

"Not necessarily however a pump would help with the pressure to shower, but a new boiler would certainly help with the pressure"
