"Yes that is correct a false chimney breast is something a joiner would do
If the chiney breast is false thats ok but if there is any sort of heat below like a wood burner gas fire etc it has to be made of different materials that are fireproof ie metal stud and cenent board with the correct tolerances and clearances around the heatsource as defined by the fires manufacturers specs"

"It depends on what you are having installed, if it was a log burner, then I would recommend a wet trade(bricklayer/plasterer)

But if your looking to install a fan heater then YES a carpenter/joiner would be able to do this for you"

"Yes. It is an artificial chimney breast. We could could not build a chimney breast that was going to to be used for an actual fire place.. This would need a specialised contractor"

"Depending upon the material used to make it I’d say yes if some form of wood. However there are different safety regulations to be adhered to if making a recess for a log burner or open flame fireplace. Anything down these lines would need a heta qualified installer to sign off the work ."
