Electrical safety certificate

I have a 2 bed house with 1 fuse box which has 9 fuses.

What would be the cost of a certificate please as I am selling my house and this has come up and I may need to purchase a certificate

"Prices vary greatly between companies; a typical price would be around £200. But bear in mind this does not guarantee a pass should the installation be non-compliant and require remedial works which would be priced separately."

"Costs for a domestic EICR vary depending on locality. Here in County Durham we charge £150 + VAT but I know in the South East it would probably be double that."

"Depending on your location as in London it will be more expensive as travelling, parking Con charges etc, but I would say generally speaking circa £180+VAT"

"Between £100-£160. This is a report though this doesn’t necessarily mean your property is safe. If things are brought up in the report that are unsatisfactory they may well need rectifying."

"I can appreciate your selling your house but personally that isn't really going to effect the price you get for it, it just means the new owners may have to pay for it instead. But by means if you choose to it your own perogative."

"The electrical cert should only be issued on completion of a full inspection of your installation taking into account wiring condition, earthing, correct distribution of loads and circuits,. The report will give advisories of what improvements are recommended.
Most registered electricians should be capable of giving you a quote for this. Ask for proof of time served electrician, lots of cowboys out there."

"What you need is Perodical inspection and testing first.to enable to achive the certificate.(EICR)"

"Hello It may not be just a case of just buying a certificate. An Electrical installation condition report may be between £150-£250. Then if theres any faults which need to be rectified to make the certificate stand, there will be extra costs added."

"Electrical safety report is called an EICR, these vary in price ranging from £100 - £150., depending where you live .
Plus you may have to have some remedial works completed to get a satisfactory result."
