Electric shower upgrade 8.5kW to 9.8kW

I would like to replace my current Triton T80si pumped (8.5kW) with a Mira Elite SE (9.8kW). The current Triton shower wiring seems to be 6mm (tbc) on a 40A MCB (30 mA protected).
I need to know if the Mira shower can be installed and if any of the electric setup needs work.

"Unlikely you haven't mentioned how long the cable is from shower to dB and also how it's been installed ie inside a wall with insulation or clipped direct in between the joist I have worked out that in a cable for example 4 meteres long you would need 10mm and also would have to use a bigger breaker"

"It has to be 45 to 50 amp breaker on 10 mm twin and earth cable supply"

"Hi, your 9.8kw shower would demand 42 amp.
The existing 6mm cable is not rated to carrying that amount of current. Thus the minimum would be 10mm cable. ( this is based on the average installation, not knowing length of cable,, installation method, ie c,d, 101 etc )"

"You will need to upgrade shower wiring to 10mm this is not cheap as the copper price in the last month has doubled."

"Hi, a 9.8kW shower would require a minimum of 10mm cable supplying it, with a 45A breaker from the consumer unit. Hope this helps."

"It depends how the cable has been run and the distance."

"10mm cable would be ideal, as 6.00mm would over heat, depending on distance from Consumer unit, safe routing and cable distance would determine size of circuit breaker."

"The cable (possibly 10mm needed) and MCB (possibly 50A needed) will both need upgrading. The information that will give you the definitive answer can be found in the accompanying literature with the new shower."

"You would need to upgrade the shower cable to a 10mm cable minimum 16mm would be better and also upgrade the breaker to a 45A or 50A MCB"
