How can you make a roof better at insulating and more eco friendly? Will it cost much to achieve these sorts of improvements?

An eco-friendly is a waste of money, cost you a lot of money to put it in take years to wait for any benefit. Savings all sounds good until you come to install it cost a lot of money for nothing in my personal opinion, get a few different prices from different companies and there are also government schemes that will help pay towards it, look into it very carefully

Building control say that the minimum amount of insulation in a loft space should be 170mm. So if its already that thick then there is no need to improve. If it's a flat roof you could have a warm or cold deck installed with a minimum 120mm kingspan thermal boards. It's not cheap but not massively expensive either.

Keeping up with maintaining your roof can be hard but also important if not treated and looked after properly it can cause problems in the future so we recommend haven your roof inspected every five years for felt issues or cement or tile problems and lacks etc

Hi Theo I’ve just read your question and it can be expensive but in the same breath it can sometimes also be cheaper
