Door join carpet to vinyl

I have bought a door strip cover and was wondering if it would be suitable.Trying to fit carpet to viny.

"Hi as long as the carpet and vinyl are at the same height and it covers both and sits flush then should be fine"

"They are designed for this purpose where a join from one pattern carpet meets a different one and or vinyl etc.
Look at the thickness they take, there are various different types of floor covering."
