My flat’s front wooden door has become swollen and is very hard to open and close, especially in cold weather. When I pull the door open from the inside, it often sticks, and I have to use a lot of force.
When I try to close it from the outside, it’s also difficult to pull shut properly. The handle has become loose after a previous emergency locksmith visit, they charged £300 but didn’t screw the handle back correctly.
Could a carpenter or joiner fix the door alignment and resecure the handle so it opens and closes smoothly again? What are the prices? (Im looking for lowest but effective)
