Do kitchen fitters design the kitchen?

Do most kitchen fitters offer CAD or 3D drawings of a kitchen design before going ahead with the installation?

I usually design and install kitchens which are supplied by Howdens so cad and 3D pictures are available

Hi,

Usually, a good fitter can offer you some good ideas on how it would be more practical. And after we usually do have a designer coming on-site to measure and make the plans with views and the quote on the items you choose.

If you buy the kitchen from some other stores which may have a more broad of materials it might not be the case.

Hi, some do but I would say most don't as there is a significant investment in the software. I personally do. There is a good argument to say the fitter is the best person to do the design as they see installations all the time and know what works and what looks best. Many designers have never fitted a kitchen or seen one of their designs in the flesh. Many go on a weeks course and can be best described as an amateur at best. Some fitters prefer the design to be done by others and follow the 'plan'....with varying success.

The fitters will fit yo the plans supplied by the customer 
Green plans normally come from the kitchen supplier in order to purchase the kitchen

Any good kid kitchen fitting firm will design the kitchen usually on the computer these days you can get it done at B&Q as well

Not normally although if you ask most fitters they'll usually say they could do a better job!!
Most kitchen suppliers offer a free design service or give you the cost of the design off the price of the kitchen when supplied.

If you are looking for a full design through to installation most reputable installers would " advise " some may simply say " no we just fit the kitchen, you'll need your own plumber, sparks etc " but most these days would offer a package involving probably Howdens or Benchmarx to take care of design and supply of the cabinetry, worktops and/or appliances.
Howdens and Benchmarx will be happy to do you a design but won't(at least they're not supposed to) give you a price, that must be done through a trade account holder.

I’d offer a 3D drawing & plans as a must, customer needs to see what they are paying for & also so they can tweak the design details

I've fitted hundreds for hHwdens.  Basically, I send out a full-time designer to you , you liaise with the designer usually at your home they produce a cad and 3d video plan then as a fitter I use that plan to price the work.

Not in my experience, kitchen designers… design the kitchen… kitchen fitter would fit it. Saying that most kitchen fitters would be able to work out what could fit where.
