"Hi.
Is 100% the best you can do.
Drains can cause a lot of problens and cost a a lot of money if not prevent futures problens like:displays joins, roots intrusion, negative flow etc."

"Yes. Drainage is often overlooked when buying a property. A survey would highlight any issues within the drainage system and if any repairs are needed the work can be arranged with the seller before purchase or you may negotiate a slightly reduced sale fee to allow for the cost of repairs to be done post purchase. Best case scenario is the survey identifies no faults and you have to pay a fee for the survey, but you still have peace of mind you are not going to be hit with a large bill and stress once moving into your new home because of faulty drainage."

"Hello,

We would recommend that a Home Buyers CCTV Survey is conducted to check the integrity of the drainage system.

Drains can have various faults that can happen over time, such as settlement, which would cause the drain to lose its line and level and therefore lead to blockages, displacements, and open joints. If there is a lot of trees around the site this could also cause root ingress leading to blockages, these can all be picked up with a CCTV Survey.

As well as checking the condition of the drain, we can also plot the extent of the drain for future reference and provide you with a basic site plan of the drainage system.

If faults are identified this can be raised with the seller or buyer to negotiate a discount on the price or arrange for the work to be carried out before the house is sold.

If you'd like to arrange for a Home Buyers CCTV Survey, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you,

"When buying any property new or old it’s worth having a drain survey to see the condition of the underground pipework and make sure all is flowing and working correctly before purchasing.

Thanks James"

"Always recommend having a drain survey as it will stop any hidden surprises when moving in and there are drain issues for example drains that may run under the house and of past the point of repair will involve digging . A survey will highlight these and allow you to negotiate prices of purchase."
