Do decortators often have hidden costs?

When hiring a team to decorate my home, are hidden extras often included in the final bill or is this rarely the case?

And if there is some extras they need to let you know before and not at the final bill.

It really is relative but I would expect any change in price due to extra work should be ran by you prior as this may happen due to discovered problems but they shouldnt start increasing the price for work that has already been quoted.

There can not be hidden costs. 
If an unknown issue is discovered during the work it should be discussed with the client To resolve any costs.
On my quotations I always state that sanding sheets, fillers, and cleaning materials, are inclusive.

Not very often, if there is some rotten wood on an external house and you don't see it until you climb up to the level  the wood would be replaced and repaired

ask for daily rate and buy your own materials this will ensure both parties are happy with a swift payment and happy quality tradesman and customer.
