Cost of getting custom sized gates built?

Question

We already have a fence along the side of the house but it’s about 1.5 meters away from the house wall. None of the shops seem to have gates this wide. How much would it cost to get two custom built and installed?

Around £300 - £400 to supply all the timber, hinges, lock and then labour to build it up and fit the posts to the wall and the gate to the wall post.

I think you should budget around the £500 mark. obviously its more as the gates would have to be made to the specific size you want....unfortunately its not something i would have time to do.

The question is a little bit vague. What materials do you require the gates to be constructed from, what type of finish and what height are they to be? An accurate price cannot be given without this information. But a pair of timber gates, you would possibly be looking at a cost of £300/£500, but this is a rough guide. Hopefully this will help help you decide.

Depending on style, height and finish you could be looking from £300 to £600 for top of the line materials and design. Then there would be the labour on top of that to make and install. Materials would be priced to you at the same as i would purchase them at.
