Cost of close board fencing per metre

Question

Will extra bits like posts, gravel boards or removal of old fence add much to the per-metre price? I know the panels themselves have a price, but I’m not sure how tradespeople usually factor in the other bits you need to do a proper job.

Fencing tends to be priced per bay not per metre. Although pricing per bay is also not as simple as that in reality. You have to take into consideration manual labour time differing dependant on distance and terrain. Whether there is concrete hard ground near that will effect the dig for each fence post. It is much better to have someone come and have a look and discuss what you want. This way you can get an accurate quote that caters for all the variables and agree a set price. I hope this helps.

Every thing adds to the price but get a fixed quote for the complete job so that you know what you have to pay at the completion
