Cooker hood conversion

Can an existing cooker hood be converted to an extractor, going through the loft to an outlet in the eaves (in a bungalow)? What is the average cost?

"That would be no good the extractor hood would not be powerful enough if the extraction goes up and has bends in it you need 2 put an extractor fan in that ducts through the wall"

"Yes this can done quiet simple and at a lower cost. Regarding the materials and then all depends on your electrician. Hope that helps"

"Yes is the simple answer
But a duct or flu will have to be run and holes cut in the ceiling
However, if it is on an outside wall it would be cheaper and easier to go through the wall
The cost of the fan and ductwork is around £400 but may vary depending on how far they have to go"

"Easily done, run ducting from the new extractor into the loft and out.
It will be around the £3-400 mark"
