Combi boiler vs tank

If I swap my old tank setup for a combi, will I lose any hot water when everyone’s in? I hate the idea of showers going cold, but I don’t know if a combi without a tank will struggle when everyone is getting ready in the morning

"If you get a big enough combi ie more kW it will cope with more taps being opened at same time.but combi gives constant hot water so will never run out like a tank would"

"The only reason you would struggle is if the heating engineer has not done his calculations correctly and fitted the incorrect kw boiler for your hot water demand, I personally do like a unvented cylinder as if your have a combi an its has a breakdown and you don’t have a electric shower you are without heating but if your boiler has a breakdown and you have a cylinder you can turn on the immersion heater and have hot water."

"Yes. Combi will let you down on hot water if you use 2 showers at once. Other solutions is have one electric. Invented cylinder sized up correctly will be best solution"

"Pressurised cylinder is a better setup. Although if you have a good water pressure and flow rate a big enough combination boiler would suffice."

"A combi will constantly give you hot water

If you have a couple of showers on the go at the same time it can sometimes cause issues

But if it’s just one shower at a time you could stand under it all day 👌"

"In general combi is not Good for simultaneously showering. There are bigger combis so if you have a Good mains supply and a big combi you can take two showers at the same time. ATAG is the highest water flow rate I belive navien worcester and Vaillant all do big combi boilers I would personally have a system boiler as you would have a immersion. Heater as back up. A combi in theory will never run out of water."

"Depending on amount of bathrooms and demand of how many people require a shower at the same time, if you don’t shower at same time shouldn’t be a problem"

"Combi is much better than heat only boilers. If are using two shower at the same time then go for mega flow which is very expensive."
