In our spare room, the ceiling light stays on even when the switch is off. Something I can DIY if I turn off the electrics via the fuse box?

"If no light fittings or switches have been changed recently than it's it's a faulty switch, or light fitting, either way I would definitely recommend you hire a qualified Electrician to carry out the work it's false economy and unsafe to do diy on electrics."
