Ceiling light stays on when switch is off

Question

In our spare room, the ceiling light stays on even when the switch is off. Something I can DIY if I turn off the electrics via the fuse box?

If you have not changed the light fitting possibly the light switch is faulty or if you have changed the fitting over the wiring has been incorrectly terminated

The switch have been wired incorrectly. Before change the position of cable isolate power from consumer unit.

If no light fittings or switches have been changed recently than it's it's a faulty switch, or light fitting, either way I would definitely recommend you hire a qualified Electrician to carry out the work it's false economy and unsafe to do diy on electrics.
