What are the best windows for a) opening quickly in a fire and b) being as secure as possible from intruders breaking in? I’d like to find the best windows that meet these two criteria.

Hello, Do I need Planning permission to change a current window to a door and window using the existing opening and bricking up the old back door? Window not opening

My house has two separate front doors, several metres apart. Can I add a small separate porch to each of them without planning permission? Or does the exception apply to just one door?
