I've found some 120x120cm marble effect floor tiles which I think will look good in our kitchen as there'll be less grout lines. But do large tiles need any extra prep or special adhesive?

I am planning to tile my garden but I am unsure what type of tiler and what product in particular to purchase. It's a small garden with medium length grass. What type should I use and do you have any recommendations as to the best brands I should consider?
So I am currently pricing up a job . I'm just wondering if a day rate of £300 for me as a tiler and a labourer is an acceptable price. There's 11 meters of slate and the wet room is a mixture of porcelain and tiny ceramics on the walls
I want to tile the bathroom floor but it's currently floorboards. Do you need to lay a board over the top first, or can tiles go straight onto the floorboards?
