Do large floor tile need extra prep of special adhesive?

I've found some 120x120cm marble effect floor tiles which I think will look good in our kitchen as there'll be less grout lines. But do large tiles need any extra prep or special adhesive?

"Yes it needs a anti fracture sub structure applied to the floor"

"Hi, you will want to make sure a suitable anti fracture matting is laid onto the concrete prior to tiling. You will also need to ensure you use a flexible s1 tile adhesive and ensure you use a much larger notched trowel. All tiles will need back buttering too"

"We recommend that you use what's known as a quality 'flexible' powdered, cement based adhesive such as fast setting Keraflex Maxi Grey. With large format tiles, it is important that there's a full bed of adhesive between the floor or wall and the tiles to ensure full contact."

"of course infact you could possibly need 2 one for the surface area thats being tiled which you will want a ( BAL all in one primer) from topp tiles but you will also need to find out from your tile supplier if the back of the tile need priming too, as this will act as a barrier to stop the adhesive which i will also recommend using ( BAL slow set super flexi adhesive especially for them size tiles ) this will stop the adhesive coming through the tile."

"Hello you'll need a good Flexi adhesive as the tiles are quite big and a anti fracture matting before anything is put down 👍"

"So long as there is sufficient adhesive for the floor tile as per manufacturer spec . Should be ok . Hope this helps . When laying small or big tiles it's the same method ."

"A good brand of flexible adhesive and make sure tile adhesive is used on back or tile and floor (back buttering)"
