How much would it be roughly for someone to come out and shorten 9 doors, since the carpets have been fitted the doors no longer swing so need a small amount taken off each and the door hung again?
Wooden interior window sill beneath bay window in upstairs bedroom has a bulge in the inside corner. The window is double glazed and secondary glazing has also been installed. The area isn't damp and the bulge is firm to the touch and doesn't move, even when I press it. Any advice on how to get this investigated and fixed would be welcomed. Thanks.
I have recently moved into a council house, I don’t have a single door that closes properly and most don’t have handles. I really need to replace the bedroom doors, however the frames are metal with the hinges welded on. As I don’t own the house I really don’t want to go to the expense of replacing all the frames, is it possible to hang new doors onto the existing frame?
Hi guys, I've recently fitted 1.5m of skirtingboard to a small section of wall in our lounge. I decided to use no nails, which has worked brilliantly apart from one end which has come away from the wall slightly. I'm thinking that I should screw the end down, but am a little concerned that the debris (wood/concrete) from the new hole I need to make will get between the skirting and wall, therefore stopping me from screwing it to the wall. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.
How long will it take to move a internal door? The wall is timber framed with plaster board
How do you join skirting boards in a corner when the walls aren't at a 45-degree angle?

I'm wanting to take down and reerect a 10 x 6ft summer house. The thing is it has electric sockets, light and is boarded inside. The electric from what I can see it run from an outside plug so not underground. What would be the best way to go about it all? I've taken down many sheds so would imagine the house in itself would be the same process, but would the internal boards need removing first? Thanks
Could you explain to me what loglap and shiplap cladding are? What are the pros and cons of each? Which is better overall and when should one or the other be used?
