How much does it cost to have a staircase constructed by a carpenter/team of carpenters?

Depending on the size you can get it pre-made and have someone fit it as this would be cheaper! 
Don’t get it fitted by the supplier of the staircase as you’ll be overcharged

You should be looking at £1500 to £2000 pounds to build a flight of stairs that’s including removing old and fitting of new

It depends on several situations like carpenters and time spent to build it, being a trade man or true a company. For example, I did cut and rebuild 1 year ago an entire staircase and rebuild it back in 2 days. It cost 550£ to be done.

£600 fitted depending on the size and complexity of the job but a standard one would be around that the harder the job would make the price more

It depends on how many turns are required, the number of spindles, hand rails, base rails and newel posts. I've just bought one online with three turns and all spindles etc for £1400 if it is a straight run it would be about £800
