An existing downstairs toilet using a Saniflow system has never worked correctly. I want to explore if the floor from the toilet can be dug up, across a hallway, through a kitchen to the mains. We have underfloor heating which I believe is a wet system. Distance from toilet to outside is approximately 5m.
Can you lay OBS tongue & grove first and put skirting boards on top or fix the skirting boards first then lay the floor down up to them ? (Having carpet fitted on top )
Are glass garage doors any good? Are they a durable option?
A house I'm looking at buying looks like it needs the bricks replacing around the base of the patio door, not sure if it is poor fitting or frost damage, awaiting the results of the building survey. The patio door could probably do with replacing too. Could you take the patio door out and replace a couple of lines of bricks (probably about ten feet across the wall) prior to installing a new door? Would you have to wait for these to cure/mortar to dry prior to fitting a new door?
Great video. If you don't mind I have a question, I've just moved into a property built in the 1960's it had a one crack in the outside brickwork on the first floor a wide (>10mm) crack in the interior kitchen wall and on the first day in the property I removed the wallpaper in the bathroom (directly above the kitchen) and found another wide (>10mm) crack. It seems to fit the criteria of subsidence, would the surveyor working on behalf of the mortgage advisor have missed this? Who would be liable for this if it is subsidence since I've only had the property 1 day? What steps should I take next?
How much would it cost to replace a concrete lintel above a back door?
We're looking at buying a house which has had smokers living in. How much are we looking at to fix this if we went through with bidding for it?
I gave permission for a scaffolding pole to rest briefly on our side and the contractor ended up damaging our fence. Who's responsible for sorting the repair?
I'm doing a new roof, the roofer is saying the roofer is saying one of rafters require to be replaced and another needs repairing, and these will double the cost? Is this the case? Thank you
