Advice on choosing a plot of land to build on
We're looking for a plot to build our home on. Aside from planning obstacles, what should we be looking out for in terms of suitability for building?

We've got a cellar under our terraced house in Leeds, about 20 square metres, dry as far as we can tell but bare brick walls and a concrete floor. We'd like to turn it into a snug and home office, so tanking, insulation, flooring, lighting and a proper staircase instead of the ladder that's down there now. How do you tell if a wall is load bearing

Remove the upstairs chimney breast
Hi, I'm not sure if it's a chimney specialist, or a builder who has to do this. But basically the house is a semi detached It has a chimney in the living room and the room next to it as well ( kitchen) Upstairs two room and they both have the breast However in the kitchen, they have removed the chimney breast. My question and quote is Can I get the chimney breast in the bedroom upstairs removed? And how much would it cost. Separately the one in the living room and the room above it master room , canthe upstairs be removed if the downstairs is going to be replaced for electric?
Removal and bricking up an external door
Do I need planning permission to remove and brick up an external door
external concrete window sill breaking up
How should this be dealt with ? The concrete is breaking away from metal rod that passes through it. The break { hasseveral pieces ] is about 11 inch long & looks like its going to fall out. It has been suggested that I repair it with Epoxy concrete & clamp it. ,also, that I should remove window ,& replace the sill . Best approach & idea of cost if possible please.
