"It’s likely to be a build-up of moss that grows between the tiles. you can have it cleaned off with a stiff brush and sprayed with a fungicide agent that will kill off The remains and prevent them from growing back for a few years"

"Weathering, bird droppings, moss vegetation, and emission all contribute to the discolouration of roofs."

"The stains on your roof are caused by two things –moss and algae. The most common type of stain-producing plant organism, gloeocapsa magma, is algae and causes the black stains. Moss is also a plant that grows in damp areas, leaves green stains."

"The green would be algae. But the other stain could have run off from the lead work."

Hi, we’ve seen this problem pretty often, It’s likely to be a build-up of moss that grows between the tiles and also be from the lead itself,

you can have it cleaned off and sprayed with a fungicide and some special cleaning product that will kill off The remains and prevent them from growing back for a few years.

I hope this was helpful and if you would like to check us out please feel free to do so.
