"The rule with roses is weed feed prune and maintain, you should nearly have winter pruning completed by now and as soon as you see signs of new growth start to give a gentle Rose fert, cannot write all about Roses right now but that’s a start"

"Always position the rose with full sun in mind in rich soil, they are hungry plants. Water well in well-drained soil and keep on top of your pruning. When doing your last prune of the year make sure the stem has an angled down cut to stop water sitting and rotting the stems back. And use sharp pruning shears."

"End of February prune the roses hard, mulch the bed ready for the summer.

Remove all leaves from the bed as this will aid in getting black spot.

Dead head regular"
