"This depends one on the size of the roof . Two on other aspects like detail what material you chose etc . The major issue with asbestos is the disposal but allow 1500 for the average house to dispose of the asbestos slate . Although you can take them bit by bit to the recyling center as a local resident ."

"The cost varies on every project, asbestos condition, broken/cracked/fully intact,
quantity of asbestos , roof size, which new roof covering you are going for, also access has an impact on cost. So the Prices is bespoke to each individual project."

"💷 Average cost (UK 2026)

For removing an asbestos garage roof and replacing it with a new “normal” roof:
• Single garage: £2,200 – £3,200
• Double garage: £3,400 – £4,800

👉 Most people end up somewhere around £2k–£4k all in.

🔨 What that price actually includes

A proper job should cover:
• Safe removal of asbestos sheets
• Licensed disposal (hazardous waste)
• New roof (felt, rubber, or metal sheets)
• Labour + fixings

Typical breakdown:
• Removal & disposal: £500 – £1,000
• New roof materials: £800 – £2,000
• Labour: £200 – £600 "
