Renting scaffolding to replace five or six roof shingles

I am thinking of replacing some roof tiles. I only need to replace about five to six shingles. Should I rent scaffolding for safety or will I be okay without it?

You don’t need scaffolding just ladder and a cat ladder

Safety is obviously always key but sometimes scaffolding isn’t always a must, some hire shops do scaffold tower hire which would be cheaper than scaffolding but given the cost of hire I’d recommend a trained professional do it as they would have appropriate ladder and cat ladder and would probably charge the same as a hire company would

No you don’t need to rent scaffold if it only double storey height but anything after that then yes.

Hi there depending on access to the roof you should be able to get to the tiles off ladders or maybe a scaffolding tower which is cheaper cost thanks Scott

Always a good idea to rent scaffolding best not to take chances with heights off a ladder

As long as the pitch isn't too steep and isn't too high it'll be fine
