3-pane Velux in a loft conversion

Are there any structural issues to consider when having a wider than average Velux window fitted in my loft? Ideally, I'd like a 3-pane version.

"Hi, it really all depends on the width of the roof light. If it is to wide to fit between the existing rafters then it will need a trimmer to the next rafter then trimmed again to reduce the opening to the correct width to suit the new window.

"Hi Gregg...
Not really, there is always at least a single or double rafter between each velux anyway.. Hope this helps..
