I am needing my bathroom light pull cord replaced and have been told that as the existing one is about 2 inches up into the ceiling the electrician will not do it. Is this correct? As surely it can still be removed and a new one fitted?
I have a standard wall socket thats always worked fine - however it now doesnt seem to turn off, whether the switch is in the ‘on’ or ‘off’ position. I.e whatever is plugged in continues to be powered whichever position the switch is in! Is it safe to keep using the socket??

Is it possible to connect the guttering runaway to the house’s sewer system? And is this still legal to have this changed? Currently we have a soakaway area with a hole that this gutter leads to, but this is getting blocked up regularly now. This is an old house which has a combined sewer system which has another set of gutters which do connect to the sewer system.
