How long will it take to replace a staircase and bannisters.
Crumbly plaster and little bulge in wall. Not sure who I need to fix it. Old terraced house.
The paint is from the ceiling of my bathroom. This is mostly above the bath and shower area, the rest of the room is ok. I think it is because it is a new-build and contractors have just put cheap paint directly onto the plaster and not primed it. Would I need to peel all the paint off and start from scratch, or can I just scrape it off in the affected area, prime that area and then paint over the entire ceiling with new paint?
I would like to have electric power shower fitted. I'm hoping to spend somewhere between £50 and £150. What are some of the best products/brands that are within my price range?
I’m trying to find out if it would be possible to get my front steps skimmed - they’re outdoors and are just needing a wee bit TLC. It’s 8 stairs and possibly the ground right at the front door and side of the staircase. If possible, a rough idea of cost would be great too.
I have sanded a ceiling before painting and in some areas the plaster below in showing because of old paint. Can I must coat the whole ceiling before I paint or just the areas that are exposed Thanks appreciate any replys
Ground-floor flat - bottom-filling cistern has suddenly stopped filling - airlock?
Will my wood burning multi fuel stove, rate higher than a free standing electric heater on my Energy Performance Rating Certificate. I use smokeless coal and wood.
Can mould spread throughout a home even if there isn’t a water leakage issue? Mould is still spreading in different rooms of the house. It all started with a big leak several years ago but that issue was fixed and I don’t see any other signs of leakage. So is it possible that some of the mould simply survived the initial effort to kill it off and has spread from there even without a renewed problem with water leaking? I know that moisture can cause the problem too. How can I tell if moisture/humidity levels are too high in my home? And how can I rule out the possibility that a new water leak is helping the mould to spread again?
What is cribbing for an electric fence and how is it prevented or/and fixed?
