Radiators turning on when hot water used

Why do my radioators turn on when the hot water tap is turned on? We've turned the dial on the boiler to "water only" but it hasn't worked. We have an ideal combi boiler. Is this something we could fix ourselves or would we have to get a plumber in? If so, how much would this cost? Thanks. Much appreciated for any advise.

Gas (sulphur) type smell in cellar when it rains

Hello, I have a problem with the house I have just bought where whenever is rains, there's a very strong gas type smell in my cellar - quite like sulfur. This smell spreads to the rest of the house and makes you feel nauseous. I have had a drainsman come out who did a CCTV inspection and there's no damage to the drains that should cause any problems. He said because the house has been empty for some time, I should run a hot bath full of bleach once or twice a week then pull the plug to help clean the drains in case this is what is causing the problem. I have tried this but it hasn't solved the problem. I was at the house last night and it was raining slightly outside and the smell was very strong. I have noticed the smell is worse if the rain is quite fine. I am lost as to where to go now to get this issue sorted. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated.

    Should I replace my driveway?

My concrete driveway has certainly seen better days. It’s crumbling at this stage. What can I do to fix it up and give it a fresh look and more importantly, what can I do to prevent the issue repeating? I want to give it a new lease of life but not if the problems will just comeback again a few months later. I assume the issue will eventually repeat no matter what I do. At what point, might I need an entirely need driveway laid? How can you tell the difference between a crumbling driveway that can just be fixed up with some maintenance versus a driveway that’s beyond repair and you simply need to replace with a fresh driveway?
