    Moving the kitchen

Hi, I would like to know a rough estimate in time & money, that it would be to move the kitchen from the back of the house into the current living room at the front of the house. There are no walls to knock down, nor is it a listed building. The boiler can stay where it is. It's a 3bed semi-detached house & basically want to swap the rooms to meet our needs. Appreciate your time answering my question, thank you.

How can I access the original plans for my property?

Hi, what can I do to access the original plans for my property? Do I have a right to see these? What sort of professional would be best to contact to interpret the plans for me or are they relatively straightforward for a novice to understand? Thank you.

    Bumps on kitchen floor

My kitchen floor has developed bumps. There is a concrete base which appears intact but a new (4 yr old) screed has cracked and 'erupted'. I have had it checked for damp and a builder has looked at it too and can't identify the cause.

    Flat roof issue with neighbours

Hi, we are currently renovating our house (bought 3 years ago )and building a extension to our kitchen (build notice/permitted development). Part of this involves replacing the current grp roof ( which has failed and leaks ). We are semi detached and our flat roof backs on to our neighbours flat roof on the party wall. Their roof is currently 6 inches higher than ours and the joint laps over our roof . We spoke to our neighbours yesterday and informed them of our intention to replace and raise our roof level to give us a little more head room in the new kitchen. They have said that we cannot do this as they a have a lifetime guarantee on their roof and that is if we alter the overlap it will invalidate their guarantee. Is this true? Also do they have the right to refuse permission? Finally as we are intending to raise the roof, would this come under the scope of a third party wall notice? Thanks in advance

Electric shower upgrade 8.5kW to 9.8kW

I would like to replace my current Triton T80si pumped (8.5kW) with a Mira Elite SE (9.8kW). The current Triton shower wiring seems to be 6mm (tbc) on a 40A MCB (30 mA protected). I need to know if the Mira shower can be installed and if any of the electric setup needs work.
