    Hi All, I have a ply lined bathroom floor and would like to know which adhesive would be best for porcelain floor tiles (600mm x 600mm). Does anyone have any suggestions? Currently, I have some leftover unibond ave a 20kg bag of unibond rapid set ceramic floor tile adhesive cement based left over from another.

    Good Afternoon I am a Landlord in Scotland. My smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors are all installed as per regulatory requirements with the recent addition of a hard-wired carbon monoxide detector. Whilst I understand the carbon monoxide detector is not required to be interlinked to the smoke / heat detectors, where it is possible to do so, would the recommendation be for these to be interlinked? The manufacturer, Aico, has confirmed they can indeed be interlinked however the Electrician who installed them has a different view. I would appreciate any advice you may be able to offer as I'd rather make the correct choice. Kind Regards Brad

    Shower Sliding Door come off track, can it be repaired,?

    Shower Sliding door has come off the track. 120cm width double walk in shower aluminium frame. The wheels/rollers worn out and only metal left. I understand the rollers can be replaced but this is my questions..... The top track looks fine, bottom track corrosion showing (wrong cleaning chemicals) but its sturdy and not crumbling. Is it still possible to replace the rollers and hang the door ? Approx cost? Appreciate any advice Thank you

    Hi! I have workmen who have sanded our wooden floor. The stain they put down is too light. They said they have to resand and basically start whole job again at my expense. Can’t they just apply a darker wood stain over the top without resanding?

    Block paved driveway dipping

    Hello I had a large area of my garden block paved a few months ago. It looks great but I have started to notice some dipping in 2 areas. Its not a big worry but I am slightly concerned if it begins to get worse. I have spoke to the company that installed it and they're coming to take a look next week. I just want to make sure they don't do a bodge repair. What should i be expec ting them to do? I understand that block paving always dips slightly but this seems like a bit too much so early on. It seemed like they did everything right originally but i'm no expert. What should I expect there to be under there in terms of a base? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello I have been installing floor tiles in my kitchen recently, as part of my kitchen’s renovation. We are planning on having decorative tiles fitted on the walls too. So far, it looks like I will have leftover adhesive from the floor tiles - would these be suitable to use for the wall tiles too? Or should I use some kitchen or wall specific tile adhesive instead?     Leaking guttering and down pipe

    Home report says potential leaking guttering/down pipe. Gutters are cleaned annually. On inside of ground floor flat, in bottom corner of the room there is some mould on the bottom of the wall. This is near to where the down pipe is externally. Could this potentially be due to leaking down pipe? Damp meter readings all seem within acceptable levels. Or, could this perhaps only be due to bedside cabinet too close to wall and not enough air circulation? Thank you
