Neighbour’s have just had a new roof and their roofer has bonded in the original very old tiles from when these houses were constructed 1950-60’s into my 5-6 year old roof. The old tiles have also been painted previously. They have used a bonding gutter in between but have put old tiles every other tile going down my roof front and back. Should the roofer not have found similar new tiles like mine and used them? Rather than the old painted tiles which were obviously at the end of their service life which is obviously why the neighbour was changing their roof.
I've seen lots of Ikea Billy bookcase hacks where two or three are joined together to make one big wall unit. But I can't find info on what fixings you need to do this. What would they need to tether them together and to the wall to make them sturdy?
