Who is responsible for the manhole outside my property? It is close to the door
I have a random leak under the sink. The traps have been replaced twice and we can go days without any leaks then randomly we have a bowl full of water? Has anyone seen this before the house has plastic piping and was built 1989?
I am interested in fitting a raised bed in my garden. How much will it cost in terms of the supply costs to put together a sleeper raised bed. What are the steps involved in completing this work by myself? I am guessing it is not an especially difficult job to do DIY, is that correct?
When removing a radiator, or moving one to a different location in the room, do we have to drain the whole system?
Hello, I have a fairly new kitchen worktop that has become damaged in one section, which will need to be removed. I would consider just replacing this one section of the worktop if I can, instead of seeking an entirely new worktop style again after just 2 years. Do kitchen fitters offer partial worktop replacements as a service usually? And is it possible to replace this one worktop section without upsetting the rest of the fittings and worktop areas? My only alternative would be to look at getting a new worktop entirely, so I would rather replace the single damaged section somehow, if it’s possible.
Costs for extensions vary across counties. What did you pay for stuff like single storey, garage, conservatory, etc?
I've seen lots of Ikea Billy bookcase hacks where two or three are joined together to make one big wall unit. But I can't find info on what fixings you need to do this. What would they need to tether them together and to the wall to make them sturdy?
I’m replacing two roof tiles. Can I throw these tiles in an ordinary bin? Should they go in a recycling bin? Or are roof tiles the sort of material that need to be disposed of with a unique waste disposal approach?
Hello! I'm replacing my 4 plate Hotpoint gas cooker (60cm; Electrical Load = 4.93kW) with a 6 plate Duel Fuel ILVE range cooker (100cm, Electrical Load = 5.1(kW). Can I use the same cooker socket I'm currently using, or do I need a higher voltage socket? Also, is this possible to self-instal, or does it need an electrician? Thanks, Christine
Hello all I am planning on having the same carpet fitted across multiple rooms in my home. Are carpet door bars going to be required even if it is the same joined carpet between the rooms? Will it help to keep the carpets fitted, neat, etc? Is there any other options instead for the door bars which still allow the carpet to be fitted across rooms?
