    Best material for fence?

Hello, I want to fence off some space for my dog in the back garden but he jumps up at everything. I’m worried he will get splinters in his paws/snout from the wood. What would be the best material or type of wood to avoid him getting hurt?

    Is torching a specialist job?

Hi, We're buying a 1930's semi and the roof is original, but in good condition. The Survey did say that the torching needs redoing though. I asked one roofer and he said he'd never heard of it and to just try and knock the price down to get a new roof... I'd rather just repair the underside of the roof as stated in the survey - can anyone tell me if this is a specialist job? How much should it cost? And does it have to be 'torched' or could we do something else? Thanks

Can I have a decorative stone wall?

Could I have a small stone well built in my garden that is more for show than anything? Ideally, it would not need to be even too deep, but one that provides at least the illusion of depth. One way or another, is planning permission or/and building regulations approval needed for this?
