Dealing with bed bugs

My daughter has brought bed bugs back from her travels. We're getting this treated but we've been told that it may take a few goes to get rid of them. Although the pest control guy seems quite confident, I'm worried. How can we increase our chances and be sure they're definitely gone?

"Follow the instructions provided by the pest control professional. They are trained to handle bed bug infestations and will have the best approach to treating your home.

Clean and declutter your home. Bed bugs thrive in cluttered environments, so removing as much clutter as possible will help to reduce the number of hiding places for the bugs.

Vacuum your entire home, including furniture, carpets, and bedding. Vacuuming can remove a significant number of bed bugs and their eggs.

Seal your mattress and box spring in bed bug-proof covers. This will help to prevent any bugs that survive the initial treatment from hiding in your bed.

Launder all bedding, clothing, and curtains in hot water and dry on high heat. This will kill any bugs or eggs that may be present.

Use sticky traps to monitor for bed bugs. Place them around your home and check them regularly to see if any bugs are being caught.

Repeat the treatment as recommended by the pest control professional. Bed bugs can be difficult to eliminate, so it may take multiple treatments to completely eradicate them.

Be patient and persistent. Eliminating bed bugs can take time, but with the right approach, you can be confident that they will be gone in the end."

"Will be best to leave with pest controllers to maintain as you do not want to disturb the treatment program"

"It can take a few goes to get rid of bed bugs. They are one of the hardest pests to deal with.
Monitoring stations around the bed, room, windows etc will help prove they are gone or not. Ask for these to be placed around the room"
