Hi, I am planning to put a shelf on the wall that when loaded will be around 30-35 kg. The wall it is not a load bearing wall, it is an internal wall that separate my linkingroom and a storage space . The thickness of the wall is around 4 inches/10cm thick, and it is not timber or plaster board, when I drillled it had a layer of fine orange layer and a grey thicker layer. I live in an ex council house east London, if that helps. Do you think that it could bear that kind of weight? The shelves would be around 45 cm deep and 100 cm long. Thank you very much in advance.
