Our house is a typical 1930 mid-terraced house. When you enter you see a wall at the end of the corridor, because the kitchen door is under/behind the stairs. We want to move the door to the left side of the wall (so you can see it when you enter the house) and close the area under the stairs to make storage space. How much would cost to fix/build the wall (where the door sits currently) and open a door on the left side?
Is it acceptable for a kitchen fitter to add on things like a new circular saw blade & router blades as additional to his day rate? Was paid £250 cash & I wasn't pre warned I was expected to pay an additional £60 for parts for his tools.
I have removed my down stairs light switch (for decorating) which controls the upstairs light. I have 3 wires - 1 x Black 2 X red Does Black go in the top (Common) and the 2 reds in the bottom? There's also a switch upstairs. I should of taken a picture - but didn't.

I live in a period house in Sussex which has a gambrel roof that needs replacing. Do I need a specialist roofer to do this and how much is it likely to cost?
Hi, I was wondering if it's doable, and how much it would cost to reduce the size of a second-hand P-shaped conservatory on one side by only 1 foot (by possibly taking out one window panel width and uPVC/poly-carb roof panels to match and adjusting it accordingly to match up with the p side. It's a complicated shape as it is a slightly L-shaped as it wraps around the side of my driveway. But it only needs reducing by a foot on that side to fit, and it was suggested as a possible solution?. But I would value your professional opinion as to whether or not it would be worth the hassle and/or expense? Also the cost of a steel base rather than concrete. It's a large area, 11' x 10 & 14 x 10. It's the 14 x 10 that wraps around down the side, but from the house wall it measures 8' 7", that would need reducing to 7' 5" as the width of my driveway is max 7' 10" but I have 5" soakaway on that side. Plus it would be connecting my neighbours boundary wall! Thank you in advance Y
