    We are thinking of extending over our garage but given the scale and price of the work is it possible to do in phases? We live in a semidetached linked by garages house. The Garage is sloped currently. Very high at front and low at the back. I think it would be more achievable to the following Get planning/building regs. Check or modify the footings Raise the back end to a standard height Lower the front end to a standard height Rubber roof Then do the 2nd floor at a later date for phase 2?

    Hi, I've noticed a slight bowing in the floor in my living room/dining room. Our survey didn't pick up any subsidence so I don't think it's that but I think the issue might be with the wooden floorboards under the carpet. Googling has made me think I might need floorboards and joists replaced but I wanted to know - what scope of job should I be expecting to enter into? For a room measuring roughly 4m by 7m.
