Hi If my electrician can’t get the works booked and completed by the time the domestic certificate runs out mid July as shortened due to two advisories is the property insurance invalid or is it that is is okay as long as works booked and ongoing . My certificate is one for a landlord tenancy that I thought was valid for 5 years until 2022
Hi, I've asked similar before but I need to describe it better. I would like to know a rough estimate in time & money, that it would be to relocate the kitchen from the back of the house into the current living room at the front of the house. Plumbing for a sink, washing machine & dishwasher are required. Electric sockets, electric cooker socket & installed & new lighting. The carcasses of the cupboards that are salvageable can be re-used but would like new worktops & cupboard doors. A radiator needs removing & tiles for the wall space between the worktop & top cupboards would be needed. Obviously I know it'd be an estimate without exact measurements for pricing. There are no walls to knock down, nor is it a listed building. There is a manhole out the front of the house . The boiler can stay where it is. It's a 3bed semi-detached house & basically want to swap the rooms to meet our needs. Appreciate your time answering my question, thank you.
I have a mid rise (Very heavy) cistern that needs to be fitted to a tiled plaster boarded wall. There are no battens to fix it to where it needs to go and the wall behind that is very old disintegrating brick, so I was wondering what sort of weight would be safe to hang to the wall and what fixings would be best If it it possible to do? Many thanks.
