Ask your QuestionWe are looking at an apartment that has one bathtub run on immersion heat and the other on electric power shower. We would like to only have immersion in use, and want to know, if there is already an immersion installed in the flat, with hot water already running to the tap in the bathroom in question, how much would it cost to replace the electric power shower with a line to the hot water immersion?

"The best bet would be to change the taps to a thermostatic bath shower tap and clip the showerhead to the wall.
The cold feed to the electric shower will need capping off at the source of the tee. One of the pros to having an electric shower is that you don’t run out of hot water. If your having several showers a day or a couple of you for your morning routine will the last person run out of hot water? Depends on how big the tank is I’m guessing it’s an unvented cylinder? And you may only hear it up at night on economy 7?
Or you may be on about a power shower that already runs off the cylinder?"
"Depending on how they price the job. Materials and labour per hour. Probably looking at around £40ph and materials on top."
