Best way to attach glass table top to metal base

Hi, I have a glass coffee table top that needs reattaching to its base. I’ve tried using silicone but it doesn’t work. I’ve read that epoxy would be the best glue to be used but that UV light should be used to cure it? I’d appreciate any guidance. Thanks Teri

What is the best paint to stop rust on metal gates and railings?

Hello all I have metal gates at the end of my driveway and metal fences and railings around the perimeter of my garden. I have noticed the paint work is beginning to wear and I am concerned about the damage of leaving them exposed to the elements for too long. Is there any paints which can prevent the risks of rust and other wearing on metal like this?

Should I use Skirting Board Adhesive?

Hi all, I’m looking to install skirting boards along my hallway walls. I have read some mixed messages about using some adhesives for skirting boards online and some recommending to instead have the skirting boards drilled in. Would adhesives be suitable enough for typical hallways? Is there any specific problems I should look out for if I went for the adhesive route? And are there any particular brands I should steer clear of for this? Currently, I have painted walls, which will be dry and there’s not likely much risk of damage day to day – if this makes a difference at all. I’d like to hear what others’ experiences have been using adhesives versus drilled in skirting boards.

Sat in my house today and my neighbour was having a dry verge system fitted to both gable ends, we are semi detached but the workmen were on my side of the roof without asking. Are they allowed to do this? What do I do if they have caused damage to the tiles or my solar panels?
