Who to call to fix fridge

Question

This wasn't a cheap unit, so I'd like to get it looked at before thinking of a replacement. Would I call an electrician for this?

Hi, you need a white goods engineer, some electricians may cover this type of work but for real expertise and speed contact a white goods engineer.

Is the unit under warranty.is there no power or is the fridge not cooling,this could be either a blown fuse or a compressor issue?

 What are the symptoms  ie freezer ok but fridge is not working

No you need to look for appliance service engineers. Some electricians may have a little experience in appliances but we specialise in the power that feeds the fridge rather than the fridge itself

 What to do before calling
	•	Have your fridge brand, model number, serial number ready. Helpful for diagnostics.
	•	Note down what’s wrong: not cooling, leaking, strange noise, etc.
	•	Check whether it’s still under warranty. If yes, manufacturer-service might cover the repair.
	•	Ask for fixed price quotes including parts and labour.
	•	Ask about guarantees (how long is the work guaranteed / parts).

Not normally done by an Electrician as you may need gas topped or parts replaced. Need a appliance repair engineer who would have access to correct equipment
