"An appliance engineer would be your best bet.
But depending on the issue, for example an element replacement, your electrician could handle that."

Normally an appliance technician would be the one to go for."

"Depends; if it’s the oven itself or something else. If it’s the oven itself then a specialist. It not then an electrician. What is the problem?"

"Electric oven:
You’ll usually need a domestic appliance engineer or an electrician who is experienced in appliance repairs. Many faults (elements, thermostats, fans, control boards) are appliance-related rather than wiring issues, so an appliance repair specialist is often the best choice.
Gas oven:
You must use a Gas Safe registered engineer qualified for cookers.
In terms of cost (UK typical):
Call-out fee: £60–£100
Labour: £70–£120
Parts (if needed): £20–£200+ depending on the fault
Close to holidays, you may pay a slightly higher call-out rate.
If you can say whether it’s gas or electric and what the fault symptoms are (not heating, tripping power, uneven cooking, etc.), I can give you a better idea of likely cause and cost."

"an appliance engineer is more equipped for changing parts on ovens such as elements, fans etc as they will usually hold stock for call out jobs.
The hard wired circuitry, cooker connection units and flexible cables to the appliance are usually simple jobs for any electrician to change or maintain"

"it depends on what’s wrong with the oven, but in many cases you’ll want an appliance repair specialist, not just any electrician."

"Electric oven:
You usually need an appliance repair engineer or a domestic electrician.
Many faults (heating elements, thermostats, fans, control boards) are best handled by an appliance repair specialist, as they’re trained to diagnose and repair specific oven components.
A qualified electrician can safely deal with wiring, switches, isolation problems, or hard-wired connections, but not all electricians repair appliances internally.
Gas oven:
You must use a Gas Safe registered engineer. This is a legal requirement in the UK."

"An Electrician will covering the wiring up to the oven - I would say a specialist or if its not too old contacting the manufacturer can sometimes be helpful."

"For most oven faults you would normally call a domestic appliance engineer rather than a general electrician.
An appliance engineer specialises in cookers, ovens, hobs, washing machines, etc., and can diagnose and replace internal components such as heating elements, thermostats, fans, and control boards.
An electrician is the right person if the issue is with the supply (for example, tripping circuits, damaged cables, faulty cooker switches, or a new connection). But if the oven has power and simply isn’t heating or working correctly, a specialist appliance repair engineer is usually quicker and more cost-effective.
In short:
No power / electrical fault → Electrician
Oven powers up but doesn’t work properly → Appliance repair engineer"
