What temperature is too hot to lay bricks?

We've got brickwork planned for later in the summer and I've heard extreme heat can cause problems with the mortar. Is there a temperature above which you shouldn't be laying?

"It’s not an exact temperature, it all depends what kind of bricks you are using , and pointing the wall at a right time."

"No as long as you maintain the mortar it is okay to lay."

"I would personally say between 30 - 32 degrees unless you was in the shade with keeping the bricks damp and the motor wet to try and prevent cracking and drying out to quickly thanks andy"

"You can lay in most heat however making it slightly wetter would be beneficial but not much concern over this as the worst that could happen is the mortar joints crack and then you would just need to repoint at a later date"

"30 degrees is usually when problems occur as the other people have answered you can keep up with the pointing or jointing and make sure you see to the mixer more often than you would normally"
