"The plaster will not bond to the surface properly if it is not primed (pva/sbr/blue grit etc)

In some cases it will dry as soon as you apply the plaster as the surface will take all the moisture from the plaster"

"If you fail to prep the wall with pva you can risk a layer of dust or dirt between plaster and wall which creates no bonding between the two surfaces which will fail and most likely to fall off"

"To prevent high suction. It stops the plaster drying too quickly , cracking and not adhering"

"You need to PVA,SBR or blue grit first to seal the existing surface ready to skim, otherwise all moisture in the plaster will be sucked out causing it to dry out to quick and not stick,"

"Plaster would not adhere to wall and would have high suction so you would not be able to plaster as it would dry too quick and cause cracks"

"You need to pva or sbr the wall first so the plaster will stick to the surface only time you don’t need to is on new plasterboard 👍"
